Polish, milder drill, or plastic coverstock ( in this order seems to me ).  Those would seem to be your only choices if the slate blue is too much.

Don't have one, but I hear people RAVE about those lane1 xxxl's with a diamond core and a plastic coverstock for super dry shots.

ecc0_9879,

What line/trajectory are you playing?

On edit:  Sliding what board, arrows what board, break point what board?

You are crossing the arrows at 32 to 12 at the break point?

ecc0_9879,

All, I can say is that if you are that deep and can't catch any head oil on that short of a pattern.....IMO all you can do is change your technique to cut down revs and develop a different release and attack the condition differently.

Plastic might be a possibility but your carry would suffer I would think.  I'd develop a different technique.

You should be playing further outside with your breakpoint on a pattern that short.  You may need to change your hand position and get a little softer at the bottom of the swing.

To be a good tournament bowler you need more than one technique and release IMO.
