TrimMan--np on the TJ. If you don't expect that on BR you aren't a regular user.
Thanks for the comment on the review. I try to be complete and give follow BR users some real info. that they can compare their equipment and games too.
I didn't list all the Visionary stuff I've used thru the years. List them here. I've been a test staff member for 3 years. I think, it's a great deal and Betsey is the best to deal with and small companies like Visionary have great customer service.
What I've used.
Warlocks<---Both of these before I joined.
Orange <---Loved this ball
Blue <----Early even roll
Scorchers
NPT
Midnight<---Contrary to some I have found some floods I can use this on. Probably have 35 games on it. Condition specific but when you come up a flooded pattern this ball shines.
DC Tour<--Best all around Visionary ball I have had. Got it on a BR trade been plugged 3 times and still rolls great.
Red Sorcerer<----Good hard hitting urethane. Reminds me of the old Hammers.
Executioners
Crimson<---Good skid flip ball for me. Haven't bought a G-3 but the Crimson would be a lot like a G-3 in my mind.
Charcoal<--Probably left more 8 pins with this ball than I care to remember. Always thought at the time it came out it was rated a lil to high on the hook scale. By that I mean overall hook midlane read with backend.
Purple--I never found a condition that I matched up on well with this ball. Tried two different layouts and it just never worked for me. Gene Kanak says when he finds the right condition for this ball it's gangbusters....guess not for me. BTW---tried it on many sport patterns just never worked.
Gryphon
Blue Sparkle<---Liked this ball kinda of like the Blue Warlock. I used this on wet/dry over/under THS's but the Centaur works better. Probably the cover on the Centaur with the DC Tour modified core.
Burgandy<---Never tried one probably should have.....don't see a lot of oil most places I bowl.
Gargoyles
Granite<---This is the ball I decided Visionary was worth getting into the test program. Got it used from michelle and shot 299 with it in second set I had ever used it. Going to order another one.
Never bought or used a Greenie---figured Crimson more or less gave me the same kind of look. Blue Slate I haven't tried might in the future. Got an XXL on a trade and kinda thought it was much the same as the Blue Slate. Might be wrong though and try a BS.
Amulet Glow<---Still use this as my dryest <is that a word?> ball and spare ball. Got another one from harrylegthigh for my gf as her spare ball. Love this ball. I wish Visionary hadn't had manufacturing problems with this ball. Very underrated.
After thinking about all the Visionary equipment plus the other balls over the years I have used. I've come to understand if one companies equipment matches up to your style/technique plus the lane conditions you roll on the majority of the time....then stay with it. I am pretty loyal to the Big V but I also use DT which I also like. But how can you beat V's test staff price? Eric/livespive and Gary/MI 2 AZ know what I mean.
Start of Dec. and it's getting colder in Cheeseland so good bowling scores will be forthcoming.
