To compliment the Crimson I would get the charcoal executioner (if you can find one) or the AMB Solid or Framkie May, both polish up well and their surfaces are very adjustable.
I have a Crimson and I have both the Charcoal and the AMB Solid, both are a great compliment to the Crimson. If you're looking for something similar to the Crimson...go the Charcoal, If you're not worried and looking for an oil ball, the Solid or the Frankie May.

IMO polishing a Granite is defeating the purpose of the ball. There are other choices that will work as well as a polished Granite.

Andrew,
There of course is two ways you can compliment the Crimson.
Going above the Crimson would be the Frankie May or the AMB Solid. Both of these balls work really well at 1000 wet sand. I don't advise polishing these as the React-A-Tack coverstock tends to make the reaction a little inconsistent.
Going below the Crimson would be the G-3 with a long PIN to PAP drill, or a Green/Blue Centaur.
Those would be the recommended choices based on your arsenal and your style. If you have any further questions, let me know....please let me know which way on the spectrum you are looking for a compliment ball to the crimson.

Yep it would. I've owned and used both. Violet is not as long as the Crimson more even rolling for most Crimson is more skid/snap like the G-3.
Plus I agree with Big Willy let the Granite be what it is a medium-heavier ball when thatball gets that beard watch out.

I see nothing wrong with polishing the granite at
all.. as I see nothing wrong with scuffing a pearl
ball.. doing both on these serve me well..
I have played with the surface on the GG and still
am.. I have a very easy time doing it using Track
particle polish.. The GG with some shine clears the
fronts cleanly and I can stay with it alot longer as
every one else is changing balls..
I guess I am in the minority here but that's nothing
new.. I don't know how much oil a person would need to
roll the GG in box or dull, but I don't see it around
here in Wisconsin..
