THe only reason i can see for the younger generation (who am I talking about?) to not decide to play in the adult leagues is because of there collegiate career. Once you join the adult leagues you loose your eligibility.  I personally started bowling in sanctioned adult leagues when I was 19. And since then have bowled in three fall adult leagues and will be doing so till i can't throw a ball any more. It shouldn't matter how many 300's or honor scores you have that determine when you get into adult leagues. If you are not going to be bowling in college, or anything, then just do it d*&#it. How much fun can you really have when your at the top of leagues where your the oldest and most experienced? Personally it would be more fun to be on the top of leagues where your the young whippersnapper. I', still working my way up, but its ok.

Men do not lose collegiate eligibility when moving up because mens bowling is not an NCAA sport.  Only womens NCAA teams cannot accept money(adult leagues) or else they will lose eligibility.

If I stayed youth, I think I would have enjoyed the sport way better and had alot more fun, but being away and bowling in college and not having weekends to bowl any youth leagues or youth tournaments greatly influenced my decision to go adult early.

Well I am old, and this was my last year of juniors. I was going to stay all the way till the end of August and bowl a few more tournaments, like Vegas Open and others, but some things have changed my mind, and I am probably going to turn any day now. A lot I saw this year, and especially a lot I saw all last week in Florida, just got me sick of it. It was fun, and I will see you all again, thats for sure.

Mase- Your not going to turn and you know it!

I'm going bye bye as well. Just tired of all this stuff being taken from juniors and kinda burnt out. Ready to focus on the rest of my life and a career. But for sure going to be bowling some tournaments still and leagues.

I will see you all out at State Scratch in Cali in a couple months for the alumni tournament put together by the Big D.

Im going to bowl 1 last NCJBT in August. Then Debbie Haggerty is having a Hot August Nights Tournament on the 18th or 19th.  It starts at Midnight @ Fireside Lanes.   It's a cool tournament.  You guys should come check it out.

Hola,

My only advice (not that anyone asked) is that you only get one chance to be a kid, and the "drama" doesn't get any less in the adult world-- different, but definitely not less, sorry...

To anyone reading this in the SW or NW, yes the USBC stuff going on stinks, but you'll get the same program you always have in JBT next season, which awarded over $250,000 this season ALONE...

Consdier your options carefully and make the decision that's best for you.  Good luck whatever anyone chooses!

Thanks,
Jeff
