Bowling in highschool
« on: March 29, 2007, 12:09:46 PM »
So I'm not the worlds best bowler but I'm trying to do what I can to get better.  My school doesn't have a team and I don't think that Virginia has a high school bowling league.  I don't mind bowling in YABA league but there is only one here and the coaches don't seem to want to bother with me so I'm trying to figure out if I could bowl in the adult leagues but still run track and cross country.  From what I read on bowl.com I can do this as long as I don't accept any money.  I'm just wondering if anybody here has any youth bowlers in their leagues or anybody still in high school that also plays any sports and do you know how they do that?  BTW I'll be 18 over the summer so I could bowl in adult leagues in the fall but I would like to sub in some leagues until the summer because mine is ending.

You need to check your High School Association rules...they would be the ones to determine how your bowling at any level would effect your high school sports eligibility.
