Castaways to become a Holiday INN, possibly
« on: April 14, 2004, 01:42:35 PM »
It says in the newest Bowling newspaper for southern Cali, Castaways is doing a 57 million dollar expansion, including a new tower of 400 rooms, the current 344 rooms will all be brought up to the right standards, and its now going to b a Holiday Inn.

But at the bottom of the article in the newspaper it says the renovations and renaming should complete by mid 2003, with construction of the new hotel tower to commence shortly thereafter.

So either that was a typo or something is really weird, but as long as the elevators work, I'm cool

From what I heard about this is that Holiday wanted to buy Castaways and the fell through and that's when it was shut down. Hearing that it is going to be a Holiday is not surprising to me.
