The other night I took my kids bowling and became very upset. On the lane next to us was a father and son bowling. Usually I do not mind this, but this night was very different. We were already into our game when they showed up, I nodded and said hi as they got their shoes on. Once they started to bowl, I had to say something to them. If we were on the lane ready to bowl, the kid would start from the sitting area and run by us to throw his ball. I told my kids not to worry about it, maybe he did not see them standing there. Then I went up to roll and the father did basically the same thing. I turned and asked him not to do that. If there is someone ready to bowl, it is rude to run by them. He kind of looked at me like I was stupid. So on it went. If we saw them picking up a ball, we stopped and let them go. Then his son got on his cell phone. No problem, that is until he was bowling while talking on his phone. Then the father did the same thing. I COULD NOT BELIEVE WHAT I WAS SEEING. But really had to laugh when the kid dropped his phone and it slid down the lane. You could see that it was broke, so he now had to buy a new phone. But the dumb thing was that he just started to walk out onto the lane. After a couple steps, he feel flat on his A**. I busted out laughing, I really could not help it. Father gave me a dirty look, but i said to him, THAT IS WHAT YOU GUYS GET FOR NOT FOLLOWING A FEW SIMPLE RULES. They ended up leaving soon after.
One fo the employees came down to ask what happened, guess he wanted the center to pay for the cell phone. I told them what had happened and filled out a statement to say that the center was not at fault.
Basically what I am trying to say is this, if you are going to go bowling with your kids, please teach them the simple rules of the game. it is not that hard and does not take that long.

BOWLING IS FUN NO MATTER WHAT YOU SCORE. BUT A 300 IS ALWAYS NICE.
