Desert Open 7/28-30; $1,000 min. first; EXACT PBA Format!
« on: February 07, 2006, 02:45:28 AM »
Hello,

The JBT SW is proud to announce entries are now available for the 35th annual Desert Open.

This event features a $1,000 minimum first place scholarship prize guaranteed.

Even better, in this event you'll bowl the EXACT PBA NATIONAL FORMAT.  14 games of qualifying, cut to the top 32 for best 4-of-7 matchplay, until the top 4 bowl on 'the show'.  The tournament will be conducted on a PBA-like condition (definitely NOT a house shot).

The event will be July 28-30 at AMF Christown in Phoenix.  We hope those of you leaving juniors will hold out and make this one of the last events of your junior career- we certainly think it will be worth it!

You can view full details of the event, and print out entry blanks, at www.jbtsw.com.  Entries are also available at all JBT SW events.

For more details and questions, feel free to contact us anytime.

We look forward to everyone's participation in this unique and sure to be exciting event!

Thanks,
Jeff Hemer, JBT SW

Hi all,

Back to the top- this event is definitely worth the trip from anywhere in the country, even with stupid gas prices.  Grab a cheap flight on Southwest as an alternative!

Please check out all the details at www.jbtsw.com, on the schedule page.

The NEXT tournament back east is doing almost the same thing Memorial Day Weekend- these two events should be a great test of scratch bowling skill.

Please make plans to bowl the Desert Open- we think you won't be disappointed.

Thanks!
Jeff
