I'd like to see you go out there and score on the gutter so easily.  Both patterns are very light in oil, so no matter what, early hook will come into play.  If your ball speed is not up to par that day, or your catching the hit a little early, the ball will hook early and leave you with some funky stuff.  To me, it looks like those with extremely soft paws will have the best look on those patterns, and of course the people who repeat the most, and make the most spares will win.

Well from what I read, they are some totally different lane surface than we have here in the United States, so no one knows how the oil reacts on that surface. The gutter might of been out of play. Plus also from what I have read, it is 90-95 degrees there with no air conditioning!!! Ever bowled in that type of climate? Hand is always moist and it's tough to keep it dry?! It happens and we as Americans aren't really use to that. I wish them good luck in the doubles and team event! Congrats to Stephanie Nation for the Bronze!!

Well from what Dan Skitt and Will Russell have told me that yes it is boiling hot there, but they were still able to find something when no one else could. often at our national team trials lofting the gutter cap deep inside and playing up the pipe are essential for playing on our sport patterns and a unspoken requirement of making any national team.

wtf is wrong with team USA?? well come on no one is in conntention for the masters on the mens side.

and we have one of the biggest handicaps to go along with it, allen ryan!!!!!

I havent seen much of the other three guys on the team in person, but dave lange and i have bowled together for far too long it seems and he's one of the best players, probably in the entire country, when it come to taking hand out of the ball and plaing the G if not close to it. I know the talent that those 4 possess and i do believe they were the right 4 to go to Germany (no offense to anyone else on the team). You've got quite possibly the best junior bowler in PJ, Ivan is pure silky smooth, OG seems to hit just about anything thrown at him, and Lange is Mr. Consistency.  I cant believe anyone would criticise the decision for any one of those 4 to go, nor would i question any of the other 4 that stayed home if they had gone.  Everyone on that team deserved to go, and its no ones place to question the USA coaching staff for their selections.  If you think you can do better, then prove it Lots_of-300s by sackin up and making the team for yourself.

I feel Team USA bowled pretty well this past week in Berlin.  Granted we only won two medals, two is better than none.  Congratulations to Team Canada.  They bowled superbly all week.
Team USA gave every shot every ounce of energy we had.  I know that I did, thats for sure.
We can all play the gutter, very well indeed... But some just play it better than others during a given time.  Thank you everyone for your ongoging support!
