Who qualified for the Teen Masters...
« on: June 05, 2006, 11:19:19 AM »
I got my spot for the nationals in Orlando by my winning my qualifier. The stupid thing is I live in Michigan and my parents can't decide whether or not we can afford it, or if the possible scholarship is even worth it. That upsets me quite a bit because prior to the tourney I told them if I made top 3 I would have to go to Orlando. I really want to go becasue i'm sure it is gonna be the funnest, and most competitive tournament I have ever bowled in.

i dunno why everyone is complaining about yrs passed and how there was no payout... do u guys wanna hop in a time capsule and go back and change it... the point is that they are trying to make it better as years go on by paying out now... think about it... last year and the year before there were no prize funds really for tour trials... TOUR TRIALS... the tournament that could possibly put you on the PBA Tour... Teen Masters is not gonna put u on there, but it will be a great accomplishment just being out there bowling it and for them to start paying out finally is a very cool thing... u cant complain about how things were, but more like how they are... similarly the amateur team usa tournament does not have any pay outs for making the team or leading the squad or anything... its basically just brackets and sidepots... next year they are talking about payouts which i think would be cool... they are trying to move forward by creating payouts now... complaining about how they didnt before just makes you look like a straight up whiner...

anyways... thats wut i think... take it or leave it, but i think it makes perfect sense

I just qualified today. My first time on a sport shot today and I shot a 175 average, so I'm gonna get killed in Orlando. Oh well, it'll be fun though.

I just found out I am eligible to bowl again.  I was told by my bowling alley that I was on the list for TM.  Ended up if you made top 16 last year you automatically get to go the next year.  I was surprised, so now i gotta find a way to come up with some money, Gold trip is already taking enough.

In case you haven't decided whether you are going or not yet, be advised that they are extending many, many invites to people who did not qualify in their tournaments. The reason is they are trying to get more kids to come. My son got invited as a result of them going to each of the state associations and inviting state champs or other people who stood out in statewide events(male and female). Point is, expect there to be many more than the 25 or so winners of the qualifying events.
