Firecracker & JBT TPC overlap

Hello,

It was brought up at JBT SW this week that the Firecracker and our JBT Touring Players' Championship is the same weekend.  I'm sure all the Cali bowlers will  bowl Firecracker (don't blame 'em), but we really would like our best Cali bowlers in the TPC, which is a really special event with big $ as well.

So... Cali bowlers or anyone else in JBTSW-land, what weekend would be left if we could move the TPC (which I'm not sure we could do)?  The 2 weeks after is Gold, 7/30 is Desert Open, 8/6 is JBT Vegas Open.... Is 7/23-24 open?   After that, it's 8/11-12, and I'd be worried that some folks will have gone adult by then...

HELP!!

I wasnt trying to say that i didnt want to defend my Firecracker title.  I am saying that it will only effect the 36 people that are qualified for TPC. It wont effect but maybe 2 or 3 california bowlers that are qualified for TPC. Hope that clears things up Mason

nope... it doesnt haha.... even if it effects a few people and jeff would like those so cal people to bowl and can get it moved without a huge hassle then i say go for it... otherwise no biggie... i will be at firecracker and im sure many others will be... but im sure if it is moved more people will be at tpc.. thats just my point of view... josh... u bowling jst at yorba on sunday?

It is not just the top 36 overall, but the top 20 in each division, so cali does have a conference and atleast half of the people in the top 20 are from cali, and some of the handicap bowlers are from cali also and might want to bowl the firecracker, but yea, just had to put that

THATS A GREAT SONG... But back to the original subject, I am going to bowl the Firecracker fa sho. Obviously not the TPC if it doesnt move. If it does, than it is still a huge MAYBE. It is hard to pay for all these tournaments on your own, especially when you got a full weeks trip for Gold that you have to pay for, that is right there in the middle of all these tournaments. I dont got mommy and daddy for help.

Jrbowler- your posts and comments always annoy me, but I do actually agree with you on this one.

I thought so too but i asked Jeff that at JBT last week and he said that rule changed this year

Hola,

We added in 'top 20 on any point list' because Arizona is still really the center of our events, and it made it way too easy on Arizonans to make the top 36, and anyone out of AZ REALLY had to travel to even have a chance... wanted to make it fairer for all conferences.

Agh, I still don't know what to do.  A lot of folks already made plans to bowl the original weekend, and to do anythnig BUT bowl the open weekend... ack...
