i know there are a lot of tourneys going on this summer and this is one that should not be missed!!!!
last years tourney was a huge success and we are not only projecting the same amount of scholarship awards offered but are hoping to top the entry fee totals from last year!!!
This years format is speculated to have 3 different qualifying shots... one of which will be drawn for the matchplay and finals portion.... it will be extremely exciting and well worth the trip to beautiful Southern California
it is on July 4th weekend which falls July 1st - 3rd
The qualifying works with have 2 blocks of 6 games of qualifying (for the open boys and girls divisions)on Saturday July 1st [ a morning and afternoon block] and then the third and final round in the morning of sunday, July 2nd... then it will cut to the top 18 boys and girls along with the cut for the lower division and matchplay will commence that afternoon and will finish on monday July 3rd... and end with a top 5 stepladder roll of for all divisons!!!
it is a great tournament that offered a $2000 scholarship 1st place prize to the open division champion...
there are also optional side brackets and sidepots (all scholarship) along with an enormous amount of things to raffle off such as bowling balls, bags, and gift certificates to help raise money for the scholarship prize fund
i have bowled this tournament every year it has gone on and helped to try and promote it more and more... it is great
plenty of us bowlers from out here live close and have places to stay if anyone needs
the tournament directors work extremely hard for this tournament and i hope to see many more new faces and old faces at the tourney this year
as i will be going adult after this summer iw ill continue to help with this tournament and be a part of it for everyone for years to come
come out and bowl and get that fresh breath of southern california!!!!
