jog practice sessions what worked and didnt work
« on: July 05, 2008, 06:21:25 AM »
so i bowled my first practice session just a bit ago at sterling(long shot) Tried my cell that was polished at first and ball skated so took to the pro shop in there and they were very helpful and they sanded the ball for me down to 500 and the ball gave me a good luck but forced me to move furth inside that i wanted to. Eventually threw my sting that was polished forever ago so its kinda dulled out a bit 20-15 and worked pretty well left a few 8 pins and a few 7s but overall had a great look.

whats everybody else found?

Saw a kid at sterling (who im friends with) hit the bottom bar that holds the monitors with his ball... didn't get a good look at it but his finger was broken for sure, and I heard there was blood.

Bowling wise sterling was really long... had a decent look with my complete nv(the only ball i could get to hook at all) so ill just have to watch my speed. Sunnybrook didn't seem too hard but its only saturday and it was broken pretty well down. Century ive got tomorrow

I didn't have a look at all. F my life. I won't be able to get over 1250 on the short.

The heavy pattern house (Sterling) may end up being tricky.  With that low of a volume, I saw a good bit of early hook once the track set up.  Sunnybrook was easy as pie, but then again I bowled on the burn.

being a lefty with average hand
on the short pattern...i threw my pin in palm awesome revs dulled to 2000...i stayed real clean with my hand and i was in pocket...playing anywhere from 10 to outside five..and squaring up still playing outside five...as the lanes dried out the awesome revs would start rolling out so i could just switch to anything shiner, such as my blue vibe...squaring up and making moves left when needed

the medium seemed to be cake for anyone around...i used a very dull weapon of mass bias to help control the hook down the lane staying close to five with my break point and moving in and keeping my break point outside 10...also using the awesome revs when the lanes got touchy seemed to work...even playing outside five worked with the awesome revs

long pattern was and is always kinda iffy for me..i played either up the boards around 7 or 8 with the weapon of mas bias..or i just stayed inside and kept my breakpoint around 12...i never really saw transition, but i did noticed that by the doors the lanes were much more open than down in the corners where the lanes were a lot tighter
