it depends on the league. there are those that have been around for awhile and have some prestige to them. I for one bowled the jat out here in california. it is a great financial burden but well worth it. there is a comradory that comes with bowling travel. with jat particular, you weren't just bowling at a new house, you were being taught a new lesson, win or lose. travel helped me notice weaknesses in my game like missing spares, endurance, mental toughness, all of witch make us better.
if you can foot the bill let him do it. then find others that our outside the house one that is ran by an organized group.
