Congratulations to Adam Martinez and Jenny Brown for winning the US Junior Amateur titles!
Also congrats to our own Dean Richards for leading the Team USA Qualifiers!

I was in Jenny Brown's squad, and man was she good. I knew she was going to win just from watching her every now and then.
Congrats to Matt O'grady, three time Junior Team USA member
Congrats to Dean Richards for making Junior Team USA
Congrats to Mike Marsico, who is a contributor to these boards, for finishing 6th. Although not a automatic spot on Junior Team USA, he should have a great chance of getting a spot.

Adam Martinez, hes not the righty who throws a backup ball up the leftside is he?
Jenny Brown winning. That's crazy. She surprised us by making the team last year.
Congrats to everyone who made it.

And yeah, I do know it all.. I don't spend 30+ hours a week learning more about bowling for my heatlh... I do it so I know more than all of you.. which I do. (besides the random few that are staffers/work in the bowling business.. which that population is decreasing little by little)

Martinez, a right-handed bowler who throws a back-up ball, claimed a narrow victory, winning by just three pins
Thats direct from the usbc story...

Congrats to the entire team for 08...what an interesting day...the guys finished up amazingly close, and the girls jumped around the entire last block, especially with emily maier running from 16th to 4th in the last six. Should be interesting to see who else gets the honor of being added to the team this evening!

Adam does throw it well, his game is perfect for tougher shots like what's out there, if he misses left, he wont washout or split, and if he pulls it, it usually crosses over, spares a ton. Well deserved after last year, remember to tip your ball driller

Ricki Williams, Noel Ocasio, and Josie Earnest were the girls selections, and the guys selections were Mike Marsico (who posts on here pretty regularly), John Sczerbinski, and Toby Sambueno.
Congrats to all of them

Sorry about that John!

Same is true for Mike Marsico. Great kid besides being a great bowler. Has worked hard on his game for years. It would have been a crime if they skipped him for someone below, especially with his consistency all week.
It's about time someone from Maryland got some recognition. Seems only people in states with high school bowling ever get recognized.

Congrats Mike Marsico. You've kicked my rear in a few PJBT's. Good luck and Congratulations.
-
Congratulations to all who made it, especially to Noel Ocasio. You go girl!

Thats crazy that someone that throws a backup ball won the tournament. I'm not saying that hes bad or anything, obviously he's not. Moreover, the skill and determination that someone that throws a backup ball must have. No coach in the world would teach that, and beyond lane play in a general sense, he must have learned it by himself with very little input from others. Does anyone have a video of him bowling?

Mike Marsico is a beast! I bowled with him during finals as well, kid was tearin it up, and definitely deserves the spot on the team. Congrats bud, you bowled great!
