Make USBC the Recievers
« on: March 01, 2009, 11:32:38 PM »
This is to all youth bowlers.  If you have to go adult by August 1st and you have your JOG spot.  Have it and dont go.  If everyone does this then USBC will realize what they have done.  Since USBC doesn't care about us we should show them what they did.  I know that for our JBTs we will have almost 80 percent of the bowlers gone in the upper division. Here in Florida it is a shame.

Actually while the most likely result is that you will lose bowlers, but another way to look at this is to change your rules as people here in the northeast already do and will most likely be changing to. That is, allow youth up to 22 (as always) to compete even if they went adult. The rules still allow for this. It has been done here for years by the PJBT which banks with Smart and will probably cause Chuck Pezzano to change his rules for the JBT's which don't bank with Smart.

The MJMA tour in michigan will suffer as well... I will be forced up after this summer and I just don't understand it, they say it's to motivate younger bowlers to enter tournaments. With that mentalitly make Andrew Koff the 16 year old phenom, turn adult, im sure he makes kids shy away from tournaments in florida.

I was always taught if you want to be the best you gotta beat the best, I loved bowling against bowlers who were better than me (generally speaking the older more experienced bowlers) and I am the bowler I am today because of it. The USBC is in a downward spiral and sanctioned leagues all over the America are suffering because of it
