if you go to bowl.com and look on the front page it says that 2 of his 3 prebowled 900's got approved which to me is a complete joke but i guess it is usbc and they are making good moves so far

The kids a chump.  I like a person with 24 800s more than a kid with 2 9's.

He's full of crap.

I think it would be a great joke if we all got together and bowled prebowl 900's before the rules get changed. It would be a great inside joke for 100 plus people to submit this the same week The usbc is the joke not mushtare who played the system by resubmiting more 900's when he knew the first one was going to be shot down.

To be fair, is it really the fault of the USBC in this case?  They had no other option but to approve the 900s with the way the rules are currently written on pre-bowling if they could find no evidence of improper occurances.

If we are to place fault, it should be on the USBC delegates (mostly the ones representing youth bowlers) who failed to overturn the current rules because they did not want to take away pre-bowling for the youth leagues or have league officers monitor pre-bowling matches.  While this would not impact the two recently approved 900s, it leaves the doors wide open for more.

There should be many more 900s bowled while the opportunity to do so is still in place.  Perhaps if a couple hundred were bowled in the upcoming months, the USBC delegates would reconsider their votes - but having met some of them, probably not.  The sad thing is that a 900 series has forever been cheapened by the doubts that have been cast by the last couple.

This is the biggest joke in the history of bowling. The kids a no talent joke that has no class and should be kicked out of USBC for life! No ones going to look at bowling the same way anymore. I can't really write too much, I have to prebowl for my summer league in an hour...looks like USBC should get ready for my honor score application since their giving out 900s...

I got a call from him about an hour ago, he just shot a 300 on every lane in his house. This kids so good he doesn't even need to show up to league and still shoot a 900! Damn I have to get to practicin! Oh by the way Theo, he wanted me to let you know that you still have his spare ball and that he really doesn't need it anymore. He understands you need it more then he does...lol!

I've seen him bowl also, and I'm guessing you haven't been around bowling for too long. My dead grandmother has a better physical game then Mushtare!!!

I believe the comments by Dreamer Nuttingham are said tongue in cheek!

I could be wrong but read his profile.  He admires difficult condition bowling while I am one that enjoys guys skying on higher scoring condition.
WHY?  Mostly because like most people I admire that which I have more trouble on!  Wide open conditions...I have not gotten my game where I want to take advantage of them.  What others consider hard...often I seem to move up on those condtitions.

On the other hand the comments by him could easily be repeated in sincerity by me!

I believe he did if not all...most of all of the 900s listed...including a couple of practice ones!  I believe his total of practice ones and real ones is at least 4 if not the claimed 5!

For the following reasons.
1. He is a physical powerhouse!
2. HE throws a very powerful 16 pound ball(I do believe they carry better.
3. His center is a pretty high scoring center.
4. He has other high approved series under regular play conditions(852) approved and many other 800s.
5. I believe he on this easy condition and with his previous 800s started to condition himself that he was going to throw 900...he got out of his own way and did it!

I am a great believer in the power of the mind in achieving things others cannot conceive of themselves doing!  My own bowling and occassional accomplishments are an example of how a person in intense period of training and mental focus can accomplish things that most would belief cannot be done...at least by that person!

Often I have watched in amazement talented people believe themselves not capable or not worthy go out and do things to sabatoge themselves at critical times...for example Colin Montgomerie at this weeks US Open championship.
One of the greatest ball strikers of the last 15 years hits an absolute bonehead shot that he won't hit again for 20 weeks!  To lose the US open.

The power of the mind...Robert Mushtare put it to use for a short while.
After all the hubub the discomfort of shooting 900s and the jealousy it creates may prevent him from doing it again.

As to people going to his center and bowling 900s or prebowling 900s at your own center won't happen for 999 out of 1000 people!

Oh maybe a Jeff CArter could go there and do it!  Much like when guys go out on the senior tour in golf...they think they should win and they do...they they immediately start to fizzle quickly!  The retrun to their normal state of mind!

REgards,

Luckylefty
PS I've had this position since the first 900 (eventually rejected) was announced!  I've taken all the insults before and for over a year...you can bother but it won't change my mind!
PPS  I've been waiting for the I'm going to go to his center and "kick his butt on the lanes" and "I'm going to go to his center and prebowl a 900" and the "I'm going to prebowl at my center and shoot 900 crowd" to do something.  Not a one can find their keys...not a one has prebowled a 900!
PPPS  I also am impressed that Robert Mushtare is not shirking from showing up  Anywhere...proams....next Junior Gold....he clearly is sending a message..."I have nothing to hide"!  I commend him!

I'm sorry lucky but he's hardly a "physical powerhouse".  About 70-75% of college bowlers throw more ball and a better shot than he does.  I wish I had some of videos of my best bowler friends, Mushtare looks like Dave Traber in comparison.

Part of me actually believes he shot the initial 900, just in practice, then his parents and himself tried everything possible to get it through sanctioning.  When the first one didn't work....well, as the saying goes:

"If at first you don't succeed....try try again"...and now this mess...

NOw ...I actually have seen some power!

Jimmy Keeth was my teammate for a year in a local league.  To my knowledge he is still the most powerful bowler EVER if counting revs is the game!  But I also view power in a different way.

I love loft speed and a direct hard line!  With sufficient revs...I would guess Robert Musthtare in the just about 400 revs club.  Perfect when combined with his loft, speed, 16 pound ball, and physical strength!

REGards,

Luckylefty
PS I now bowl in an area where we have the #2 bowler on the all time 300 list!
He is a tremendous physical talent and has bowled an 868 series!  I believe from what I saw on his video...Robert Mushtare.. = more striking power!

Hmm....400 is a stretch.  A friend of mine, a two hander, was clocked at 440 via Ebonite's BowlersMAP in the last session I had with him and he's throwing WAYYYY more ball than this kid.  An old Kegel document I have lists Mike Devaney at 368 rpms(I'd say he's close around 400 now), Jason Couch at 405rpms, and Robert Smith at 450 rpms.  Mushtare from that short clip looks between 290-320 and that's only by my eye(but I have conducted and help administer over 50 BowlersMAP analysis).  I actually believe 900s can be shot with 3 or 4 good trips per set.  My two hander friend has actually come very very close in the past few months, running off a 279 triplicate with 2 9s and a 10 pin, an 864 with 1 open the whole night(300, 266, 298), and spare-next 27.  Seeing thousands of bowlers all over the country, not just in my area, I'm hardly impressed by Mustare.  Not saying he's a bum because his game is more than condusive to yeilding alot of strikes on any house pattern(but then again, who's isn't?), but what I've seen out of about 5 or 6 shots on that little news clip does nothing for me to put him in some sort of golden figure as superhuman 900 machine Robert Mushtare.
