I thought.... that pre/post bowling was implemented for people/teams that had a scheduling conflict with the appointed league bowling time/date. It is supposed to be used for emergencies also. Aren't both teams/captains and league officers supposed to be notified, and an honest effort made to schedule it so that THE WHOLE TEAM/BOTH TEAMS can bowl together? I do realize that's a lot easier said than done, but when did it become a tool for the convenience of only individual bowlers? I work in the industry and am starting to see this a LOT more, especially in non-sanctioned leagues(which don't count for awards). It's still a pain-in-the-butt to show up every week and find out that one or two opposing team members have pre-bowled. It not only interrupts the normal flow of competition and cameraderie, but is inherently unfair when it is abused. Leagues are set up with appointed days and times. If those days and times do not fit in your schedule.... join one that does! It also puts a burden on the bowling center personnel who must now accomodate one-person taking up a pair of lanes with no notification of impending pre-bowl, in most cases. I work the front desk, and I get this OFTEN during the summer leagues and not QUITE as much during winter leagues. Anybody else look at it from this angle?
