playing the patterns at jog
« on: June 18, 2008, 06:57:27 AM »
i just thought i would start this with the time coming soon to see how have you played the lanes at the past jog...

the short pattern has always been a downfall...i always get stuck going up the boards ringing 7 pins or getting in and wheeling it and nailing face like a champ

the medium pattern on certain pairs i can goup the boards with something pin down with some shine or even kick in with something smooth or archy and still have some success

the long pattern its just going up ten and not getting outside of that...getting outside is a guranteed wash out or even a three count... when i kick i have to make sure to keep the hit clean at the bottom or the ball will jump high and ill be shooting at big fours all day

so what do have you other guys done in the past to get score well...or bad at the past jogs?

This will be my 6th JOG.

Short - Either way out or really deep swinging the whole lane.

Medium - Usually ends up being really touchy, I tend to get deep and try to grind it out and just throw really pure shots.

Long - Start in the track and just follow it left when it blows.

Your lefty.. play up the boards and never move your feet and you should be able to make cut.
Left side is always softer as JOG every year... it's proven by the papers they give out of the pattern and what the ratios are.

didnt work last year i averaged about a buck sixty

Hey Billy,

The thumb is good, but I ripped both my fingers open monday night. Bowled about 20 games, good times.
