Why didn't Mush do Gold Survivors??
« on: July 16, 2006, 11:26:51 AM »
i just wanted to know after a poor showing during the tourney why not try and bowl the gold survivors and shoot 900s in front of everyone i mean it was a house shot both squads had a cut of 220 plus for 6 games and there were a bunch of high scores!! At least prove that he can do something since he didnt prove that during JOG!!!

no see you can sign up for gold survivors and if u make cut they refund ur money so u dont lose anything its win win i just think he wanted to go hide back in his shell back in pine plaines so he could shoot another high score lol!!  im glad to see his real side come out at JOG so now he is the laughing stock of bowling i mean outside the lines for espn was following him around what kind of story are they going to do on a kid who didnt prove anything what a joke!!

He probably did not go there simply because he would have had even more pressure to shoot well since it was a walled up shot.  It is one thing to bowl on a sport shot.  It is a different animal altogether to bowl on the conditions that you claim to have shot 5 900 series' and be in front of 100s of bowlers with all eyes on you.  Imagine the responses from fellow bowlers if he averaged 185 on that.

Maybe since he couldnt prebowl JOG or survivors he didnt do his best.  I just think he didnt bowl survivors because he is a joke and he still wants to think that he has skill but its only on a house shot, so if he shot bad at boca then he wouldnt be good on anything.

PS This year at JOG they were a ton easier than last year.  I think next year they might make the shots more of the same.  I was talking with a couple of people at kegel and they said that usbc wanted shots that arnt impossible but are playable.  All of the shots were easy if u had the right match up of equipment and line.

oskuposer i heard that to all u have to do is look at the stats from other years i mean last year two people were prob plus going into the top 16 and this year to make top 16 u had to be over 100 plus that is a joke i thought JOG was supposed to be challenging!! I heard parents complained over the past couple years saying that the shots are too hard so that is y usbc is letting up a little on the shots well u know what if JOG is to hard for u then dont bowl its that easy..if they made JOG a house shot then we might have mushtare on the team instead of O'grady and then we would be in trouble cmon USBC stick to ur guns and dont let up to whiners and complainers!!

I made top 16 this year and to tell all of you the sport shot this year felt like a 3:1 instead of a 2:1 so no wonder he didn't average 160.

Averaging 185 on 3 different sport shots at his first JOG with little to no sport shot experience isn't that bad really. The thing that makes it bad is he predicted a 200 average without knowing what he was getting himself into IMO.

Actually what makes it bad is the fact that he wants everyone believe has done something no one else has ever done. Think of Tiger Woods at 17, he would not have been called successful if he missed the cut at say the Junior Master's. We would be saying "what's wrong with Tiger?". Even if it was a tough course he has never played before. Why? Because he has shown talent to do what others his age couldn't do with a golf club, same as Musthare* with a bowling ball. If he was a no name kid, showing up there, his performance is great. But if he wants us to believe he accomplished what he says he did, the bar has to be raised and his performance has to be called dissappointing. Did I expect him to win, by no means, Tiger doesn't win every tournament. But he should have been able to make the cut based on the supposed skills he has bragged about and supposedly shown in shooting 5 900 series in 6 months.
