THE SURVIVOR
« on: February 03, 2004, 03:42:50 AM »
Hello youth, i have read some of the talk here and i think we need to clear this up. Ye THE SURVIOR is held on easter weekend, april 9-10-11, 2004. You guys can seattle it there. please visit the web site, http://ca.geocities.com/bowl_survivor/ and if you have any questions, please ask i will get back to you very quickly. THis tournament has been held for 7 years with ~30,000 given out in scholarships. Last year was the first year we gave out the 300 pot. does that tell you something, very difficult tournament, but the rewards are good. What i would love to see is more of the young ladies come to this tournament. Come out and meet new friends, please.
And guys, everyone has there days, and the conditions, everyone is good, just the enviroment has to be there liking, we all know that, we all can't win all the time, but if you are consisant, you will make a better name for yourself.

Thanks
Rick Kloosterman

House shot, 12 lane house, and when you get into the second and third blocks, you re use lanes, i don't not believe in the sport shot for the youth.

What is the lane surface? synthetics or wood? What brand of synthetics, and if wood, what kind of shape is it in?

Length of pattern,Quanity and Brand of oil is good to know as well.

down here, we got balls!....

no need to know lane quality...just bowl for the victory on which ever pattern/condition...if your good enough, changes in lane material/conditions/weather shouldnt change your game..

HEY! ok now your pushing my buttons! I'm asking these questions cause i will in fact attend this SURVIVOR!!!!! If you realized playing on burnt wood, to playing on brand new proanvil brunswick synthetics with Prodigy oil will adversely affect ball selection!!!! All i need to know is if it's wood or synthetics. It was a simple question. IF your gonna be a bunch of dicks about this tournament then wtf! why bother getting a group together to drive down 6 hours or more. You want to talk about wtv, and then atleast decker and the yanks are producing numbers.

We don't want to pack the vehicles up with particle balls and infact we need some POS to play on burnt wood lanes.

It's cool decker. A simple" Come on down and try this tournament out, it pays well and it's good competition" would get my attention more rather than say" Your all crap bowlers come prove yourself."

WTV i'd love to bowl in LV and in the tournaments but the traveling schedule is very tight, also we don't have a ton of airmiles to get us flights out there every two months.

We are practicing on a sport shot every sunday and it really is challenging.

And you understand why i would ask that type of question about lane surface because it makes a big difference between bowling on a skating rink and bowling on a gravel parking lot.

only the tournament director doesnt believe in a sports shot for juniour in this tournament!

there are leagues down here that have many sports shots and/or have practice on sports shot conditions.  It is clear that sports shots make a bowler's game improve on practicing the adjustments and the knowledge of your equipment.

but really.....why would you need to know the raw details of the house/oil volume?

travelers who are flying would more than likely bring their most versatile balls(heavy, med, carrydown, dry and spare) for their line up...it'll be a hassle to bring 8+ balls on the plane, even so with car pooling with fellow bowlers(3 bowlers, 8 balls each, 24 balls in total, approx. 15lbs each = 360lbs + body weight)

Selected american's win this tournament, but that doesnt mean your(decker, fluffer) the ones winning them.  Eric Selzer is a great bowler...i wonder what he would be in comparison to you guys.

yes, san fran is far...if you wont come down, then we wont come down...so why challenge?!

dude...just come down...your only 6-7 hours drive away

I would love to go and bowl, but I do not have the money to travel there, when I have to travel for JOG later in the season. Just curious on what the payouts are like?
