THE SURVIVOR
« on: February 03, 2004, 03:42:50 AM »
Hello youth, i have read some of the talk here and i think we need to clear this up. Ye THE SURVIOR is held on easter weekend, april 9-10-11, 2004. You guys can seattle it there. please visit the web site, http://ca.geocities.com/bowl_survivor/ and if you have any questions, please ask i will get back to you very quickly. THis tournament has been held for 7 years with ~30,000 given out in scholarships. Last year was the first year we gave out the 300 pot. does that tell you something, very difficult tournament, but the rewards are good. What i would love to see is more of the young ladies come to this tournament. Come out and meet new friends, please.
And guys, everyone has there days, and the conditions, everyone is good, just the enviroment has to be there liking, we all know that, we all can't win all the time, but if you are consisant, you will make a better name for yourself.

Thanks
Rick Kloosterman

ok, ppl, here it is, snytyheic lanes (4 years old) with wood appoaches. don't worry, i have been thinking of changing conditions for each block, but, i am still wondering if i should. It is a tough tounment and the americans don't always win, as for pay outs, $1000 first place for boys expect last year was $800 this was only b/c our pepsi qualifier was the same weekend, lost about 20 entries from that. to give you an idea of how tough, look at scores at the web site , except for the last 2 years as they were played in a different house. You might reconize a few names that you might know, and you can ask them how tough it is.

i hope i answered most of the questions you brought forwand, but i am not going to tell you the oil used and the lenght.

id do it.....but canada is a long drive

you talk about survivor have u ever came down to South Jersey and bowled the Eastern Junior Classic? its 3 6 game blocks followed by match play where you bowl every one of the top 16 people to qualify and then step ladder its held over memorial day weekend at laurel lanes i think thats a much longer tournament than what you have in mind
it pays out 1500 for first and usually have a ton of people from the east coast would love to see some of you out there especially canadians

id send the website but it is currently down

Thanks, but i don't do this for myself, i do it for you people. it is the enjoyment of seeing all of you together having fun. As you know it is getting harder and harder to find sponsors and donations to events, i spend appox 6 months trying to do this each year and Track, Youthbowling.com and turbo n grips have been great supporters to the us and the youth.

yes right now looking at a house shot, but thinking of putting down another shot for the 2nd and 3rd blocks

I'll ask if we can find some sponsors down here as well, i think likely we can bring some NEW IN BOX balls to raffle off or something. Figure it will be a nice way to say thanks to our Ontario hosts.
