first 300 of 2005

i would just like to send congrats out to Mr. Mark French for having the first 300, as far as i know of 2005, we bowled a little tourney out in camarillo today and he shot 300 on pba pattern E ... it was pretty cool... and that would be the first 300 under the new USBC .... and earlier in the day i had back 11 so i get the first back 11 certificate WOW ! jk....  but once again congrats to mark... and damn hes catchin up to me... not good...

The tournament was a Junior Gold qualifier, but we've both qualified through other tournaments. I bowled because I needed a little refresher course on something non-"walled up" to help me prepare for USA in Dallas next week.

On Saturday, we bowled one 6 game block on the "D" pattern, and the other block on "E". Today, we bowled on "E" in the morning, and then a blend of "D" and "E" for the final 6. Overall, I think I finished up around +400. I kinda ate up Pattern "E", going +283 and +190. Mason did well for the first 3 squads, but got a little burnt out in the 4th. I think he was in between +200 and +300.
