Has anyone heard of this tour here.. Probably not seeing that most of you posters are from out west..but if you want a good laugh take a look at the rulebook for the $98 dollar entry fee hand handicap event..just look at the cost break down and form your opinions on that...this has been a hot topic for the south region youth bowlers for about a month or two now.. but since this director has visions on it going nationwide, I thought I'd introduce it to everyone who may not have heard about it yet.

glad you caught on to the reason I posted this..I email him asking if seeking spiritual guidance would be a form of outside coaching like speaking to your parent or your coach..would that "disrupt the flow of the organization"..a lot of the kids from NC who bowl the atlantic coast tough shots tour arent even going to this.. and that takes up about 90% of the state's tournament bowlers..so i wished this guy good luck in whatever he's trying to accomplish..

btw did you catch that the three main tournament officials are all apart of the same family so the 2 full time staff members are related to the tournament director..therefore the money is going to the same family..

no the idea of the tournament isnt bad.but the cost and rules behind it like you said are an issue..it's not going to draw a lot of bowlers like that

Just reading the first page is a hoot. While I'll give the person credit for honesty unlike our governing body, they are better off hiding this. How could anyone believe in the credibility of this given where the money is going. While intention may be good, it's this is the kind of stuff that continues to give junior bowling a bad rap.

Yes, a good laugh. Unfortunately for them I agree with all of you that they may have trouble getting a good turnout with those "rules". Seems rather expensive after a sizeable membership fee...expenses rather high...mandatory brackets...parent dress code...

They seem to think that SMART is going to let them decide how to handle the bowlers' scholarship dollars once SMART has their hands on it. That is rather naive.

I don't see any credentials listed substantiating their claim of being professionals trained to teach the kids.
