Just for the record here is the site that has his average from the YBT which is a traveling league that shoots on house shots....  yes it is 211, which puts him outa the top 10 in average in that league.  There are several bowlers that averaged 220 and above

I believe this was a performance like Alexeev in the clean and jerk going over 500 lbs. The only difference is how people are reacting to it.

NO!  People all over the world saw Alexeev make his lifts.  Can you show me 20 people who saw the 900's?  10?  5?  When you can, then I'll accept them.

What I find interesting is the kid didn't seem to be mentioned in the list of the top 50 boys in a recent issue of the Bowler's Journal.
With the number's he has posted in the 05-06 season I figured they would have jumped on his bandwagon.

Other then the numbers he posted in his home house, he did absolutely nothing.  211 in a travel league is nothing that great.  Everyone knows the kid is a phoney.  Take him outa his house and he is a average bowler.  That hardly makes him one of the top 50  I would actually be suprised if he's in the top 50 in New York.  There are a ton of very good youth bowlers that are much much better then him that are scoring better then him on much tougher conditions (refering to his travel league average, not on his wall)

They mention Jeff Carter's 267 average. He never came close to shooting a 900 that year. Statistically speaking, it's impossible..The USBC was afraid of a law suit (according to Jim Dressel and the Phanthom), that's why the 900s were okd.
It makes bowling a joke...if anyone outside of the game cared.
If the USBC really, really believed that Robert "Magic" Mushtare shot 900 3-5 times, why haven't they made him a centerpiece of the game?

Lefty,

We're all still waiting on the names PBA Regional superstars and the other bowlers who think Robbie is capable of this.  Have you obtained their permission yet?  A lot of us may disagree with you Lefty, but that won't ever change my respect for you as a venerable member of our board.  But, that excuse of asking the Regionals' permission makes me a little wary that you are getting snowed under all the hype.

You know, once in 1986 (when I was 14), I took a shuttle flight over from Washington, D.C., back home to New York.  I believe that it was an 8:30am flight.  As soon as I boarded the plane, none other than Hulk Hogan was occupying 2 seats in the front row.  We exchanged smiles, a handshake, and then he invited me to sit with him on that short flight home.  During conversation, he told me that he was going to beat the Magnificent Muraco that night in Madison Square Garden.

Oh, darnit, should I have asked Hulkster's permission before I shared that story?

Come on, Lefty, who are these Regional guys?  Enquiring (sic) minds want to know!!

Hey Bolo, that is an interesting point.

What would happen if the "ball checkers" at this tourney were bowling purists, weighed Robbie's equipment, possibly finding some illegality, and then matching up the serial numbers with those on the application for the 900's?

Wouldn't that be a kick in the head?
